ALEXANDRIA INSTITUTE’S RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING COURSES IN ATHENS AND IN OTHER LOCATIONS AROUND GREECE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you are interested in taking our courses please complete the reservation form. You will receive a confirmation email within 1-3 business days. Once we have confirmed the availability for your participation we will ask you to pay a deposit or the full amount of the course into our bank account. Please note that there are limited places in our courses. In order to ensure your participation full payment must be settled no later than 8 weeks before the beginning of the course.
If you register later than 8 weeks before the course begins, your participation depends on whether there are places available. You will receive a detailed email with more information on the course, the cultural activities and your accommodation two weeks before the course begins.
Courses in Athens are held Monday to Friday, from 10:15 am to 2 pm. In other locations, lessons run usually from 09:00- 13:00. Institute reserves the right to change this timetable and schedule lessons in the afternoon if there are no available teachers or classrooms.
One teaching hour for a group lesson lasts 50 minutes; for a private one, 55 minutes.
Maximum attendance in each class is 7. For every class of 4 to 7 students, the teaching hours amount to 4 hours a day. If there are 2 or 3 students in a class, then hours are reduced to 3 hours a day. If there is only one student, 2 hours of teaching is given a day.
Lessons will end at their scheduled time even if you are late for a session. If you fail to show up for a group session, missed class time cannot be made up.
Our school in Athens is closed during national holidays. Lessons that fall on a national holiday are made up on another day. In all other locations, courses take place as scheduled. National holidays in Greece are January 1, January 6, Shrove Monday, March 25 (Independence Day), Holy Friday, Easter Monday, May 1 (Labor Day), Holy Spirit Monday (Whit Monday), August 15 (Assumption of Mary), October 28 (“Ohi” Day) and December 25 and 26.
Tuition is paid by bank transfer or cash. We will email you the necessary information regarding payment and update you on its progress. We also accept payments by PayPal and credit card for online lessons.
You have the right to change the date of your course provided you do so no later than 30 days before the course begins. You can choose another course instead, as long as there are places available.
In the case that you do need to cancel, you will need to email us. If you cancel your participation on the course at least 30 days before it begins, you will be refunded; however, we will keep 200 euros from your deposit as cancellation charges. No refund will be given if you cancel less than 30 days before the start of the course. Moreover, no refund will be given if you leave before the end of the course.
CANCELLING PRIVATE OR GROUP LESSONS IN PERSON

Alexandria Institutes can arrange your accommodation or provide you with recommendations. Students usually check in the day before the course begins and check out the day after the course ends. However, we do not take any responsibility for any changes or cancellations that may occur with your tickets, your flight or your journey to the course venue. We highly recommend that you book all your tickets in advance.
SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
